Underbody + battery shield
Use the Model 3’s low floor as a reason to inspect visible underbody and battery-shield condition carefully, especially if the car has curb or road-impact marks.
AC + DC charging
Confirm home/Level 2 charging and, when practical, DC fast charging. Charging behavior is something a VIN decode cannot prove.

Tesla currently says Certified Pre-Owned vehicles keep any remaining original Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty and then receive 1 year / 10,000 miles of Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty. Remaining Battery and Drive Unit coverage continues. Independent-dealer and private-sale terms can be different.
Displayed range is not battery state of health
If you compare displayed 100% range with a baseline, treat the result as a reason to ask better questions — not as a diagnosis. Use Tesla's Battery Health / Battery Health Test where supported and review service evidence.
