Tesla journey planner UK: route and charging stops

Plan a Tesla journey using your model, battery version and starting charge. Estimate route energy, charging stops and arrival battery before you travel.

Charging stops work when the start and destination are in DriveQuery’s ten current markets.

Add up to eight intermediate stops. You can also move the start or destination anywhere in the order before planning. Charging and energy are recalculated for the full route.

Plan a Tesla route in the UK

  1. Choose the start and destination from the address-search results.
  2. Check the Tesla model, model year and battery version. Do not substitute a different battery class if your exact version is missing.
  3. Set the starting battery charge and choose a weather scenario. The result estimates driving energy, charging stops and the battery left at arrival.
  4. Review the suggested stops, detours and available service information before setting off.

Try a UK journey

For a London–Manchester journey, select the actual start and destination rather than assuming city-centre coordinates match your trip. For Bristol–Cardiff or Edinburgh–Newcastle, repeat the calculation with your own vehicle and charge level. These are route ideas, not precomputed itineraries or promises of a particular charging stop.

Tesla Supercharger trip planning and other networks

Use the Tesla Supercharger map to inspect locations, or the EV charging map for other networks. A route can include technically suitable charging options; it is not a guarantee of a Supercharger-only journey.

StopScore and researched amenities help you choose what to do during a charging break. They do not override the vehicle’s energy or charging requirements. Check opening hours, access restrictions and current prices with the operator.

Understand the estimates

The planner uses a 10% arrival reserve and supports up to eight intermediate stops. Weather controls are approximate scenarios, not a live weather forecast. Battery condition, speed, traffic and charger conditions can change the real journey. Cold-battery charging slowdown is not modelled.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a Tesla journey planner or an all-EV route planner?

The current vehicle and energy model supports Tesla cars. Drivers of other electric cars can use the charging maps, but should not select a Tesla as a substitute vehicle.

Can I use it without a Tesla login?

Yes. The public journey planner works without signing in. It uses the journey and vehicle details you enter, not live data from your car.

Are the route and charging times guaranteed?

No. They are estimates based on the selected vehicle, route and conditions. Verify the plan against your car’s navigation and the charging operator before travelling.

Does the weather setting use a live forecast?

No. Dry, rain and snow are approximate scenarios. The planner does not model every real-world condition or cold-battery charging slowdown.
